I have never shipped snakeheads before. Now I'm curious as to how you ship them. I guess their teeth could pop the bag, unless you ship them young then they are big, and they are such strong jumpers (thrashing/flopping in the bag or box, ect.?)

Normally for fish you fill the bag- 1/3 water and 2/3 air. Knot the bag and then wrap a rubber band or two around it. Then put that bag (upside-down) in a second bag. When you put it in the box you need to support the bag with newspaper, packing peanuts, styrofoam, ect. (one or more) Sometimes, depending on where you are shipping to, the season, and then the temperature- you might need a heat pack.

So what's the 411 on shipping snakeheads? :?:

Looking for a red snakehead to buy for my husband. From what he says they are band for import, but is there any way of getting him one through private breeders? Also, are they compatable with the wolf fish. Please reply ASAP his birthday is in September. Thank you!! gretas1970@aol.com

Please create your own thread for such questions. That is off topic on this thread and it is just as easy to make your own.

I recommend overnight only. More air, and less water. double bag, but put a "newspaper" or any type of paper in between the bags to prevent stress. Write "Fragile" or handle with care on the shipping bos.
